VOX, the Community Empowerment Network for the Wakefield District works with partners who make up Wakefield Together to ensure the community and voluntary sectors can contribute to the delivery of the Local Area Agreement.
Our role in the District includes:
| Involvement & Influence | VOX works to promote and provide opportunities for communities to have their say in local decision making. |
| Representation | VOX supports community representatives on key strategic partnerships. |
| Networks |
VOX supports 18 different 'community of geography' networks covering the whole of the Wakefield District and several 'community of interest' networks whereby people come together through a shared interest. |
| Governance |
VOX is committed to increasing the number of people involved in Citizen Governance roles. |
| Communications | We have a number of mechanisms in place to let people know about what's going on in the District. |
