Events

Funded through the Regional Take Part Champions & Development Fund

These events are open to voluntary and community groups and members of local communities.

VOX will be holding the remainder of our events on 'How Wakefield Works for Me' in September. The events are open to all community members looking to gain a better understanding on how the District runs, how to have more influence on decisions and how they can achieve change in their community.

The sessions will include a panel of speakers, planned discussion and informal learning in a quiz/game format. Through this we aim to:
- update citizens on the revised partnership structures
- explain the coming changes to Seven Area Based Delivery including the Twelve Priority Neighbourhoods
- promote civic opportunities to get involved in decision making
- empower citizens to know the personnel responsible for the decisions made and how these decisions can be influenced.

No previous experience of community involvement is necessary.

All events are between 2pm and 4.30pm and refreshments will be provided:
