Healthier Communities Fund Development Workshops

Are you interested in applying to the Healthier Communities Fund and want to find out more after the launch event?

Voluntary Action Wakefield District (VAWD) are holding two workshops that will provide more information about the fund priorities; long term conditions and childhood obesity - and explore some of the health inequalities that are present across the Wakefield District.

The workshops will offer:
- A networking session with Primary Care Trust commissioners to explore areas of need and opportunities within the fund priorities
- An introduction to health inequalities and a chance to get beneath the statistics
- Information about how to implement a quality systems check to get your organisation or group fit for purpose, ready to apply for funds - including the Healthier Communities Fund.

Each event will have the same content, but will focus on a different fund priority:

Friday 22nd August, 10.00am - 1.00pm, Focus on Long Term Conditions
Friday 29th August, 10.00am - 1.00pm, Focus on Childhood Obesity

Both events will be at: Campitor, St.Catherine's Conference & Training Centre, Doncaster Road, Wakefield, WF1 5HL
