VOX Convention: Handing Power Back to the People?

The Green Paper, Preparing Britain for the Future - the Draft Legislative Programme 2008-09, sets out the Government's plans for legislation in the coming year's Parliamentary session. This Convention will look at three proposed Bills which are about the personalisation and improvement of services and empowering citizens:
- The Policing and Crime Reduction Bill
- The National Health Service Reform Bill
- The Community Empowerment, Housing and Economic Regeneration Bill

Speakers include Superintendent Mark Mulcahy from West Yorkshire Police along with representatives from NHS Wakefield District and Government Office for Yorkshire & Humber who will talk about the relevant Bills. There will then be the chance to take part in discussions based around the three proposed Bills.
